The Story

About

Justin Caballero, born March 21, 1994, is an American business executive based in Tampa Bay, Florida. Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana around entrepreneurial parents, he earned a finance degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) before moving to Tampa, a city he saw as being on the rise. There he co-founded Revive Design and Renovation, a full-service interior remodeling company he has scaled into the #1 fastest growing design build home remodeling firm in the country and one of the largest and most-awarded remodelers in the Southeast.

Caballero leads an integrated remodeling ecosystem built around three companies: Revive Design and Renovation for award-winning kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodels; Momentum Cabinetry for cabinetry, flooring, and tile sourced directly from manufacturers; and Revive Mechanical Services for in-house plumbing and electrical. Together they allow Revive to control quality, timelines, and the client experience from design through construction.

The company operates showrooms in South Tampa and Winter Park and currently (2026) completes 15 to 20 full remodels per month. Caballero has pushed the firm to the front of design technology: Revive's in-house designers pair photorealistic renderings with artificial intelligence so homeowners can see their finished space before demolition begins, an approach featured by FOX 13 Tampa Bay. Its designers are regularly quoted as trend experts in national publications including USA TODAY, Yahoo Shopping, the Tampa Bay and Orlando Business Journals, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes and Gardens, and more.

Caballero is active in the Young Presidents' Organization and leads Revive's community efforts across Tampa Bay, including donating more than 10,000 meals through Feeding Tampa Bay, providing roughly $60,000 in complimentary cleanup after the hurricanes, and collecting more than 25,000 toys for families in need in collaboration with other local entrepreneurs through annual Christmas toy drives.

The Philosophy

Life Improvement Through Home Improvement

Every company Justin Caballero owns runs on six words: life improvement through home improvement. The logic is straightforward. A home shapes the daily life and well-being of the people inside it, so a great remodel does more than change finishes. It changes how a family cooks, gathers, and unwinds. Increasingly it means designing wellness into the home itself, whether that is a spa-like bathroom with a sauna and cold plunge or a smarter, more functional layout across the entire house. The words began as a promise to clients. They have become the standard for how the business treats everyone it touches: Caballero is passionate about changing homes to improve lives, and equally passionate about leveraging the business to do the same for everyone who works in and around it.

I

For the Client

Every project begins with design and ends with a life that works better: more function, more beauty, and more pride in the place that holds a family's most important moments. The home changes first. The daily life inside it changes next. Put simply, your life should be better because you worked with us and invested in your home.

II

For the Team

Caballero's stated ambition is to build the best home improvement company in the country and to create more millionaires than any other company in the industry. He treats the business as a personal development vehicle for himself and everyone inside it, investing in that growth so the company's success becomes shared success: goals reached, families lifted, dreams achieved.

III

For the Community

As the business grows, so does its capacity to give. Caballero is committed to investing more and more into the communities where he builds his businesses as the company keeps expanding, so that every new market, every new resource, and every new capability becomes a larger positive impact on the people Revive serves.

Lived through five values: S.C.A.L.E.

Printed in every welcome packet and lived on every job site, the Revive core values spell out the word that drives the company.

S

Service

A 5-star client experience is the number one priority. Red-carpet service, always.

C

Communication

Set clear expectations, then exceed them: with clients, teammates, and vendors alike.

A

Attitude

A fun, winning attitude. Solution-oriented always, never dwelling on problems.

L

Leadership

Lead with integrity, accountability, and honesty, holding each other to your very best.

E

Excellence

High standards are non-negotiable. Grow individually and collectively, every day.

How He Thinks

It's Hard to Lose If You Never Quit

Caballero's operating creed was earned, not borrowed. Long before Revive, he pursued entrepreneurial ventures from a young age, with varying degrees of success. None of them made headlines. All of them became lessons, and those lessons became the building blocks of the business infrastructure Revive runs on today.

  1. Set audacious goals.

"There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." Caballero carries Nelson Mandela's words with him. He believes in setting huge goals and dreaming big, an instinct largely shaped by his late mother, who instilled confidence in him at a young age and gave him the courage to dream big.

  2. Be a lifelong learner.

Caballero remains a constant student, seeking mentorship from people he admires: those who make a lot of money, have a lot of fun, and help a lot of people. He measures his own life against the same three. The first and most constant of those mentors is his father, David, a crucial influence who helped mold him into the man he is today.

  3. Build long term.

Caballero believes the best things are built over a long period of time: refined, compounded, and made amazing by consistent effort and growth, the laws of compounding applied to a company. The goal is not fast growth and a quick exit. It is to keep building, scaling, and improving for decades to come, and to use that long horizon as a vehicle for everyone involved: employees and vendors growing into careers they are proud of, clients served by relationships that outlast any single project, and lives improving along the way for everyone the company touches.

  4. Own the whole promise.

Revive is totally vertically integrated. Design, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, project management, back office operations, and more all live in-house. When you control every link in the chain, the client gets one standard, one timeline, and one team accountable for the result.

In His Own Words

The Playbook

Lessons from inside the fastest growing design build remodeling firm in the country, written to be useful whether or not you ever hire Revive.

How to hire a remodeler you will not regret

After thousands of projects, we built a vetting checklist and published it openly, because a homeowner who checks these eight things ends up with a great contractor whether or not that contractor is us.

1. Better Business Bureau. Look beyond the rating. Review the complaint history and how the company resolved issues to gauge professionalism and accountability.

2. Awards and accolades. Give more weight to recognition from reputable national industry organizations than to local popularity contests.

3. Warranty. Seek a minimum five year warranty, backed by the financial stability to actually stand behind it.

4. Design capabilities. Make sure the company has experienced in-house designers who can plan, visualize, and execute your project from start to finish.

5. Reviews. Read reviews across multiple platforms, not just Google, to get a balanced, unbiased view of real customer experiences.

6. Permits. Verify the company's permit history. A consistent record of pulled permits is a strong indicator that a contractor follows proper codes and legal requirements.

7. Expertise and experience. Confirm that the project managers, designers, and support staff have proven experience with projects similar to yours. Once construction begins, your project manager is your project.

8. Licensed, bonded, and insured. Always verify credentials with your state licensing authority to ensure the contractor is fully compliant.

The cheapest bid is usually the most expensive decision. Vet thoroughly and you will eliminate most of the heartbreak in this industry before it starts, whoever you hire. The complete guide lives on the Revive website.

Why we keep everything in-house

Most remodeling problems are not craftsmanship problems. They are handoff problems. A designer draws something, a subcontractor interprets it, a supplier ships something close, and the homeowner lives with the gaps in between.

We built Revive to remove the handoffs. Our designers, project managers, and craftsmen are employees. Our cabinetry, flooring, and tile come through our own supply company, Momentum Cabinetry, sourced directly from manufacturers. Our plumbing and electrical work runs through our own division, Revive Mechanical Services.

Owning the whole chain costs more to build and is harder to run. Here is what it buys: one standard of quality, one schedule that does not wait on someone else's backlog, and one team accountable for the result. When something goes wrong, and on any job site something eventually does, there is no finger-pointing between companies. There is just us, fixing it.

If you take one thing from this, whether you hire us or not: ask any contractor you interview how many hands your project passes through. The number of handoffs predicts the number of headaches.

Want a career you love? Read this.

My stated goal is to create more millionaires than any other home improvement company in the country. People sometimes think that is a recruiting slogan. It is a business model.

We are building something meant to last for decades, and the only way to build something that lasts is to build a company where everyone can win. Not just the founders. The designers, the project managers, the craftsmen, the office team, the partners. In a company that keeps scaling, the people who grow with it end up running divisions, then markets, then companies, and everyone who gives consistent effort should be able to build a great life and a great career inside it.

While we value experience and industry knowledge, we mainly look for our core values in a person: Service, Communication, Attitude, Leadership, and Excellence. Bring those five and we can teach the rest. Some of the most important people in our company started in roles that look nothing like what they do today.

One of our company mottos is to make a lot of money, have a lot of fun, and help a lot of people. A great career should deliver all three. We are building a company that believes in life improvement through home improvement, where through our work we constantly improve our own lives and our customers' lives.

If that sounds like your kind of deal, we are actively hiring in Tampa and Orlando right now. See our live openings and apply on the Revive careers page.

See it before you build it

The scariest part of a remodel is not the dust or the budget. It is the imagination gap: signing off on something you cannot see, then hoping the finished space matches the picture in your head.

We closed that gap with technology. Our designers pair photorealistic renderings with artificial intelligence so a homeowner can stand in their kitchen and see the finished version of it before demolition begins. Different cabinets, different stone, different lighting, rendered in near real time. FOX 13 featured the approach because it is changing how people make design decisions, and honestly, because it is fun to watch.

The technology is not the point. Confidence is the point. When a family can see the finished space, selections get easier, changes happen on a screen instead of on a job site, and the final reveal feels like recognition instead of a gamble. That is what technology should do in the trades: not replace craftsmanship, but remove the fear from it.

The Journey

2022

The team outgrows the coworking space and leases its first true office, roughly 2,000 square feet in Tampa's Westshore district. Named to the NKBA Thirty Under 30, the National Kitchen and Bath Association's national class of rising industry leaders.

2023

2024

Vertical integration arrives with Momentum Cabinetry and Revive Mechanical Services, and the company rebrands as Revive Design and Renovation to reflect full-home ambitions. The team moves into a 4,000 square foot office, and the wrapped Revive Cybertruck hits Tampa streets as a rolling billboard for the brand.

2025

Ranked number 81 in America on the Inc. 5000. Named a Tampa Bay Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. Announces expansion into Orlando and moves the company into its current 7,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Westshore: five offices in five years, each one earned.

2026

Opens a 5,000 square foot Winter Park design studio, considered the nicest home remodeling showroom in the Orlando metro, bringing dozens of new jobs to the market, and is profiled by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as the region's design build growth story.

2028

Planned expansion into South Florida.

2029

Planned expansion into Texas.

2030
